ICP Port Customs & Security Facility – Turnkey Tensile Parking Canopies & Infrastructure
The Architectural Transformation
Delivered for the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) — الهيئة الاتحادية للهوية والجنسية والجمارك وأمن المنافذ, this critical port infrastructure modernization project showcases Casa Vogue’s turnkey civil and structural engineering expertise in high-security, coastal maritime environments. The scope encompassed the complete decommissioning of aged cantilever frames, casting of new reinforced concrete foundations, and the fabrication and erection of multi-bay arched tensile membrane canopies engineered specifically for port customs operations.
Marine-Grade Steel Engineering & Coastal Tensile Membrane Technology
Due to the aggressive coastal saline atmosphere at the port facility, the newly engineered canopy system utilizes heavy-gauge arched circular hollow section (CHS) structural steel trusses treated with a multi-coat marine-grade anti-corrosion barrier. The roof covering is constructed from premium high-density German PVDF-coated tensile fabric engineered for maximum solar heat reflection, 100% UV blockage, and superior tensile endurance against coastal wind shears and extreme desert heat.
Substructure Civil Works & Heavy-Duty Foundation Pedestals
To withstand high wind-load vectors common to open port environments, Casa Vogue’s civil team executed deep excavations through existing paved operational zones, assembled dense steel reinforcement cages, and cast mass concrete foundation footings. Precision anchor bolt templates ensured millimeter accuracy for structural steel column erection without interrupting subterranean port utilities or secure communication links.
Port Traffic Management, Bay Markings & Reinstatement
Executed inside an active government port checkpoint zone with zero disruption to daily customs clearances and official fleet movements, the surrounding interlocking pavers were seamlessly re-levelled and reinstated. The project also delivered reflective hot-applied thermoplastic parking stall lines, dedicated People of Determination accessible bays, high-visibility security kerbstone painting, and heavy-duty precast concrete wheel stops for vehicle protection.
"Casa Vogue handled the full structural retrofit at our port customs facility—from heavy foundation casting and marine-grade arched steel fabrication to high-grade PVDF membrane installation—with zero disruption to 24/7 port security and customs operations."
